ANDERSON- Jacqueline A. "Jackie" Gentry, 67, of Anderson, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Oct. 1, 2012.

She was born Sept. 16, 1945, in Anderson, the daughter of Jack and Betty (Morano) Jones. She has been a life long Anderson resident and a former owner of Sheriff Vacuum, the Toast Cafe and had worked as a realtor for Helen Rogers.

She was a former member of Job's Daughters, Eastern Star, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and was a past President of the Franklin Little League. She also was involved with helping many people with substance abuse.

She is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Leonard Gentry of Anderson; her children, Jack "Chris" (wife, Leandrea) Gentry, Angela "Cindy" (husband, Bruce) Walker, all of Anderson, and Tara (husband, Kent) Claghorn of Zionsville; grandchildren, Taylor and Ashley Gentry, Jennifer (husband, Joe) Fruggiero, Andrew (wife, Tesse) Keesling, Kaitlin and Anthony Cannon and their father Mike Cannon; and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her many friends and patrons at the Toast Café.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a grandson, Austin Keesling.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Jones officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
