Glen Beasley, 69 Richland Township farmer
Glen Beasley, 69, of rural Larwill, died at 4:15 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, 1994, at Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne, where he had been a patient since Nov. 7.
He was born Dec. 15, 1924, in Whitley County, a son of Ralph and Icy Loe Beasley. He completed his education in the Larwill and Coesse schools.
After this schooling, he engaged in farming, except for a short period of time when he was employed at Weatherhead and dana.
In 1943, he served in the U.S. Navy, being discharged in March, 1946.
On Dec. 24, 1947, he was united in marriage to Lois F. Gay, since 1951, they have resided on the same farm on the east edge of Larwill.
He was a member of the Larwill Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife, Lois; two daughters, Glenda Beasley and Mary Beasley, Larwill; a foster son, josh Reister, Larwill; a brother, Wayne Beasley, Columbia City; and two sisters, Madge Salesman of Columbia City and Betty Long of Warsaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers, Guy, Lee, Gail "Snowball", Max, Kenneth and Bill.
the funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Smith and Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City with Rev. Ernest Wilber, pastor of Larwill Wesleyan Church, officiating.
The visitation will be from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Larwill.
