Lois F. Beasley, 67, a resident of Larwill, died at 2:40 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 1999, at The Oaks in columbia city where she had been a resident since February 19.
Born March 29, 1931, in Fort Wayne, a daughter of charles and Mary Rodebaugh Gay. her formative years were spent in Larwill where she completed her education.
On December 24, 1947, she was united in marriage to Glen Beasley and they have lived on a farm east of Larwill since 1951. Mr. Beasley died November 30, 1994.
Employed as a custodian at Columbia city Joint High School from 1972 until the early 1990's, she was a Lioness of the Larwill Lions Club.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Glenda Beasley and Mary Beasley; a foster son and his wife, Josh and Holly Reister; a grandson, Cody reister; and a sister, Mary Creech, all of Larwill.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Dale Gay; and five sisters, Helen Schlotterback, Dorothy Ewing, Wilodene Gay, Irene Shoda and fredona Ross.
The funeral services begins at 10:30 a.m. saturday, at Smith and Sons funeral Home in Columbia City, with the Rev. Barry Faucett officiating.
Visitation is from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Burial is at Lakeview Cemetery in Larwill.
