He was born on April 27, 1926 in Trenton, Missouri the son of Robert Thomas and Fern McWaid Ferguson. He was reared and educated in Trenton, Missouri. He married Mary Jean Smith on December 10, 1948 in Knoxville, Illinois. She was preceded him in death on June 20, 2003.
Surviving is a daughter: Barbara Ferguson of Macomb, Illinois. Several nieces and nephews. Two brothers: Elgin Ferguson of Wataga, Illinois and Ralph (Wilberta) Ferguson of Independence, Missouri; one sister: Leona (Karl) Kinnamon of Bloomfield, Iowa; and one brother-in-law: J. E. Wolf of Kansas City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, and two sisters.
He served in the United States Army from 1944 to 1946. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was well like by the residents of Mary Allen West.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, October 8, 2012 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois. Rev. David Shreeves officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday, October 8, 2012 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois. Interment will be in the Maquon Cemetery.
