Mrs. Ervin Woepse, 50, nee
Meta Hetzel, died suddenly Monday
morning at 11:35 a. m. at
Sheboygan Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Woepse was born In Town
Meeme on March 12, 1903, a
daughter of Jacob and Emma
Hetzel. She attended the rural
school and was confirmed by
Rev. Philip Sprengllng on April
1, 1917 In St. John and St. Peter
Lutheran Church in Cleveland.
On April 16,1930, she was married
to Ervin Woepse of the town
of Mosel by pastor Ernst Traeger
of the Mission House College.
Following their marriage
the couple took up farming on
the homestead.
Mrs. Woepse was an active
member of the St. Paul Reformed
Church and of the congregation's
Ladies' Aid Society.
Survivors include the husband;
a daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Janet)
Bitter, Town Mosel; one son,
Wayne at home; and one grandchild,
four sisters: Mrs. John
Gosse of Sheboygan Falls, Mrs.
Calvin Wernecke of Newton;
Mrs. John Ziegler of Newton;
Mrs. Adolph Zimmermann of
Random Lake; and one brother Elmer Hetzel of Jackson, Lousiana. She was preceded in death by
her parents, one sister and one
brother.
Funeral services will be held
at 2 p. m., Friday at the St.
Paul Reformed Church with the
Rev. William Beckmann pastor
officiating. Burial will be in the
church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Robert
H. Kroos Funeral home in Sheboygan
from Wednesday evening
until 9 a. m. Friday morning
when the body will be taken to
the church to lie in state until
the time of services. The casket
will be closed prior to the 2
p. m. service.
