Bernice Krull, age 92, of Clarksville, Iowa, was born the daughter of Fred P. and Minnie (Wildeboer) Hinders on December 4, 1922, in rural Clarksville. Bernice attended school at Crooked Schoolhouse in Jackson Township.

On September 22, 1939, Bernice was united in marriage with Henry Jensen Krull at St. John Lutheran Church in Clarksville. They lived in Clarksville their entire married lives.

Bernice was a homemaker and mother. She and Grace Scheidecker painted and wallpapered homes. Bernice later worked at cleaning homes and then at the Clarksville Hardware Store. She also worked for Bill Henning in homes doing after disaster cleaning.

Bernice was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Clarksville. She enjoyed doing jigsaw and word search puzzles. Bernice crocheted and rode her bicycle until into her 80s. Bernice’s greatest joy was time spent with her family, especially the grandchildren.

Bernice died Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at the Clarksville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Clarksville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry on June 24, 1966; a daughter, Myrna Bogan on November 7, 2014; one granddaughter, Nikki Averhoff; her parents, Fred and Minnie Hinders; five sisters, Swanette Jordan, Annie Henning, Florence Rottink, Gladys Hoodjer and Mary Hovenga; five brothers, Paul, Richard, Fred, Phillip and Pete Hinders; one daughter-in-law Lori Hinders.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2015, at St. John Lutheran Church and burial at Lynwood Cemetery, both in Clarksville.
