Mary Susan Schroder, daughter of Mortin and Ella Ernisee was born in Sheboygan, Wis. on April 30, 1859 and died at the home of her sister at 1445 West 26th St. Oklahoma City, Okla. Jan. 17, 1929, making the deceased 69 years, 8 months and 18 days at the time of her death.
She leaves to mourn her loss one daughter, Mrs. Jessie Connors, St. Louis, Mo.; one son, Bert Schroder, Edna, Kansas; also four sisters and one brother.
Mrs. Schroder had made her home with her daughter in St. Louis for many years and at the time of her death was visiting her sister and other relatives in Oklahoma and was preparing to return to her home when she was stricken with influenza and complications and in spite of every thing that loving hands could do she passed away before her son, Bert could reach her bedside. Mrs. Schroder had often visited here, in her sons home. And had spent six weeks with him just before going to Oklahoma and had made friends with everyone she met, through her visits here, for to know her was to love her.
The remains were brought to this city Monday and the funeral took place from the Edna Baptist church at 2:30 o'clock in the afternoon. Rev. W. E. Taylor of Mound Valley, a former pastor of the Edna Baptist church preached the funeral discourse. Interment in the north Edna cemetery in the Schroder lot.
