Ann Wagster, passed Friday, November 7, 2014 after a short illness. She was born August 30, 1928 in Memphis, the daughter of William Ernest Taylor and Louise Hollamon Taylor. She attended Cummings Elementary School and graduated in 1946 from South Side High in Memphis. She was preceded in death by her only brother, Billy H. Taylor in 1971 and by his son, Scott Wayne Taylor in 1983.

On September 28, 1946, Ann was married to Cecil Floyd Pope, who preceded her in death in 1984. They had two sons, Stephen F. Pope (Shelley) of Mercer, TN and C. Keith Pope of Boulder, CO. She is also survived by two grandsons, Christopher Allen Pope of Jackson and Matthew Taylor Pope of Mercer.

On March 1, 1986, Ann married William Taylor Wagster of Jackson. He also preceded her in death in 2005. She is survived by her step children, William T. Wagster, Jr. (DeSales) of Davidson, NC, Beverly St. Hilaire (Michael) of Longboat Key, FL and Janet Wilson (Dean) of Van Nuys, CA. Also surviving are step grandchildren, Camryn Wagster and Charlie Wagster of Davidson, NC, Stephanie St. Hilaire of Astoria, NY, Christopher St. Hilaire (Lisa) of Richmond, VA, Taylor Burras of Los Angeles and Dustin Burras (Macarena) of Aurora, CO.

Ann and her first husband moved to Denver, CO in 1959 and lived there until returning to Memphis in 1970. They moved to Jackson in December 1978. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, the Adult Fellowship Class, the Daily Fellowship Group, and the Bonnie Faye Circle of the United Methodist Women. She served three times as Sunday School Class President, served as President and Secretary of the Fellowship Group, and was an officer of her Circle.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, November 10, 2014 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorials be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
