JACKSON - William Luther, "Red" Taylor, 89, retired employee of the Madison County Board of Education, died Monday at his home after a sudden illness. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at George A. Smith & Sons South Funeral Home with burial in Maple Springs Cemetery near Mercer.
He was a member of Madison Hall Baptist Church.
Mr. Taylor, the widower of Mossie B Robinson Taylor, whom he married on April 11, 1927 in Madison County, TN; leaves a daughter, Lila Hall, and a son, Ray Taylor, both of Jackson; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.
