Thomas R. Allen, 81, of Greenville, widower of Norma Jean Smith Allen, died Tuesday, October 2, 2012.
Born in Buncombe County, NC, he was the son of the late Edison and Anne Allen.
Mr. Allen served in the U.S. Air Force and worked as Assistant Fire Chief for Berea Fire Department. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church, Berea.
Surviving are nieces and nephews, Mindy Brown, Melissa Williams, Kathy Fleming, Mark Allen, and Michael Allen; and sister-in-law, Phillis Allen.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Allen.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 5, 2012 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
