Paul Alexander Fraser, age 65, of Odessa, Texas, passed from this life on Monday, October 1, 2012, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Texas. He was born in Bend, Oregon on September 9, 1947. Paul was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who served honorably during Vietnam in the US Navy.
He was a songwriter and authored the classic song, "Amarillo By Morning." A passionate musician, artist and patriot of American Freedom and Liberty; he lived his life pursuing his dreams, writing and singing to his last day. An honorable man, he will be missed by the few who had the pleasure of his company and forever remembered in the hearts of millions through his legacy of music.
He is survived by his wife Pamela (Brock) Fraser of Odessa; daughter: Donna Elliott and husband Eric of Fort Worth; two sons: Joe Fraser and Scott Fraser and wife Hilda, all of Odessa; brother: Oliver Fraser, Jr. of Portland, OR; and five grandchildren.

He married Jacqueline (Wirges) Coxey on April 9, 1967 in Bend. They had one son, John Cameron. They later separated. Paul moved on to pursue his music career.
