Alice E, Ness, 95, of Mondovi passed away Monday, October 1, 2012 at The Homeplace in Mondovi, WI.
She was born Aprl 23, 1917 in the town of Alma, Buffalo Co. WI the youngest child of Paul and Anna (Thoeny) Accola. She attended the Tell school and graduated from Mondovi High School. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Norden and held offices on the church board and in the women's organization's of the church. She was a member of the Lutheran Home Auxiliary and the Buffalo Medical Center Development Council.
Alice was employed by the Farmers Co-op Lumber Company for 25 years. She also worked at the Mondovi Equity. She was also treasurer of the credit union for several years. She married Clarence Ness on June 13, 1964 in Mondovi. They farmed in the Town of Albion until moving to Mondovi in 1970.
She is survived by nephew Curtis (Julia) Accola of Rochester, MN, two nieces, Marilyn Accola of Chicago, and Carol (Casey) Smith of New Berlin, WI, and "honorary niece" Beverly (John)Ambuehl of Alma, WI and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence in 1994, her parents, three brothers, Elmer, Clifford and Alvin Accola; a sister Elia Accola, a nephew Charles Accola, a niece Lois Fetting, and a grandnephew Paul Fetting.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday Oct 6, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Norden, with burial at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
