Funeral for Dr. Andrew D. Lloyd, a veterinarian, 48, of 13360 Pacific Highway, Tigard, who died Wednesday in a Portland hospital, will be Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in the Adams, Chapel, Riverview Cemetery.

Dr. Lloyd, born in Walla Walla, Wash., July 21, 1917, attended secondary school in Walla Walla, and in 1941 received his doctorate degree in veterinary medicine from Washington State College.

After earning his degree, Dr. Lloyd first practiced in Tillamook. In 1953 he purchased the Capitol Hill Veterinary Hospital where he practiced until his death.

Dr. Lloyd had man other interests outside of the practice of medicine. He was an avid fisherman and, at times owned commercial fishing boats on the Columbia River. He also owned a dairy farm near Tillamook and several racehorses.

Dr. Lloyd was past exalted ruler of Tillamook Elks Lodge, No. 1743; and was also active in the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Sigma Chi fraternity, and the Tyee Boat Club. He was also a member of the congregation of Burlingame Baptist Church.

Survivors include the widow, Ellen; two daughters, Catherine and Christine; and two sons, Thomas and Andrew Jr. All are of Tigard, though the family is formerly of Lake Oswego. He also had one brother, Ellis of Seattle.

Vault interment will be in the Chapel By The Lake.
