Ida married Dr. McKoy October 17, 1886 in Douglasville, They had two sons:
Thadeous born May 1, 1888
and Robert born October 2, 1896. Both born in Douglasville.
After the death of her husband, Dr. James Robert McKoy in 1910; Ida remained a window until 1916,
She then married John Henry Almand from Conyers, Georgia
on February 2, 1916 in Douglasville.
In a pre marriage agreement- Ida was promised $1,000.00.
In his Will, John H. Almand refered to her as his "beloved wife Ida". Stating that "She being so patient with me; good and kind."
But the children of John Henry Almand took steps to prevent her from receiving any money.
After his death in 1919 she returned to Douglasville to live with her son Thad Mckoy.
When Thad died she went to live with her son Robert in California. He gave the information for her Death Certificate. Robert married Myrtics "Myrtie" Zack Almand. Her parents Welcome Milton and Mae Almand Almand. Her grandparents were John Welcome and Millie M. Waldrop Almand. Great grandparents - Welcome Ussery and Nancy Gray Almand. Welcome Ussery Almand is Uncle to John Henry Almand.
Ida applied for the Civil War pension as the widow of John Henry Almand in June 1941.
Her pension was approved July 1, 1941.
