CORONER'S INQUEST: I find that Lillie Mastison came to her death on the evening of the twenty-third of August, 1902, from a pistol shot wound in the left breast, received at the hands of her husband, James Mastison (aka James Masterson). While the testimony in the inquest was in the main, circumstantial, yet it was of such a nature as to justify the above conclusion. The killing occurred on South street, near its intersection with the Charlestown road, in the city of New Albany. W. L. STARR, Coroner of Floyd County
[daughter of William H. Proctor and Lucretia Jane Smith Ford; married James Mastison (aka James Masterson) 22 Jul 1901 Floyd Co., IN; res. 1418 South St.]
