He was united in marriage to Kathleen Eckhoff on July 27, 1974, she survives of the home. Richard was an IT specialist with the IRS retiring in 2011. He was a member of Timothy Lutheran Church. He was a Cardinals Baseball fan, A Missouri basketball fan, and a pet lover. He was preceded in death by his parents.
