Herman L. Wright
LITCHFIELD
Herman L. Wright, 76, died early Sunday morning at his home on the West Road, Litchfield, after a lingering illness.
He was born at Oakfield, Jan. 30. 1876, the son of Henry and Susan Allen Wright, and spent his early years there.
He was engaged in the lumbering business while in Litchfield, retiring several years ago. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Oakfield Baptist Church.
He married the former, Lura Tarr of Oakfield, 55 years ago, who survives, as do three sons, Herman Lee of Ridionville, Charles A, of Winthrop, and Henry J., of Monmouth; two daughters, Mrs. Harold Small of Bowdoin, and Mrs. Raymond McDonald of Lewiston; two brothers, Frank of Caribou, and James of Smyrna Mills; 26 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Died in Litchfield Feb. 3, 1952, Herman L. Wright age 76. Funeral services will be attended at the Congregational Church, Litchfield Corner, Tuesday Feb. 5, at 2 pm. Interment. Plains Cemetery, Litchfield. Friends may call at the Teague and
Stevens Funeral Home, Monday from 10 am to 10 pm.
