HAYFIELD -- The funeral for Hilda Ida Buck will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hayfield, with the Rev. Stephan Sandness officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield.
Mrs. Buck, 100, of Hayfield, died Tuesday (Sept. 13, 2005) at Prairie Manor Nursing Home in Blooming Prairie.
Hilda Ida Paape was born Dec. 12, 1904, in Waltham Township, Mower County. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Michael's Church in rural Waltham and attended school in both German and English. On March 19, 1925, she married Hans Henry Buck at Trinity Lutheran Church, and moved to the farm in Dodge County where her husband was farming. She lived on the farm for 80 years. Mr. Buck died May 6, 1979. She was active in the church and circles and was a member of District 72 Mothers Club.
Survivors include two sons, Harold and Harlan (JoAnn), both of Hayfield; a daughter, Hazel (Eugene) Steward of Hayfield; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and seven sisters.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield, and an hour before the service Saturday at the church.
