Port Leyden:Edith A. Rocker, 92, of 7166 Moose River Rd. died late Thursday night in Sunset Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Boonville where she had resided since Sept.14, 2012.

The funeral will be Sunday at 4 P.M at the New covenant Church, Port Leyden with Pastor Brad Dixon, officiating.

Friends may call at the church from 2 until 4 prior to the funeral.

Burial will be private in the Port Leyden Cemetery.

Donations may be made to the Port Leyden Cemetery Assoc.

The Callaghan Funeral Home, LLC, Port Leyden is entrusted with the arrangements.

She was born July 17, 1920, in Minden the daughter of Glenn and Eugenia Cable Axtell and moved to Port Leyden with her family in 1936. She graduated from Port Leyden High School and married Guy Rocker Sept 7, 1940 at the Congregational Parsonage, Port Leyden. The couple moved to their present home in 1942. Mr. Rocker died Dec. 18, 1978.

She was a member of the New Covenant Church, Port Leyden and had taught Sunday school for over 50 years. She was also a member of the Town of Lyonsdale Election Board for over 40 years. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them and her friends.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law Guy and Verna Rocker, Port Leyden; one daughter and son-in-law Sue and Duane Greenwell, Marcy; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; also surviving is one brother and two sisters-in-law, Earl and Jane Axtell and Evelyn Axtell all of Port Leyden; nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by 3 brothers Myron, Walter and Harold and 1 sister Beatrice Ripple.
