She was born August 8, 1928, in Mason County, W.Va., a daughter of the late
Francis P. and Wavie J. Knapp Sayre. Mrs. Jackson was retired from Big Lots and
had previously worked in the garment factory industry. She was an excellent
seamstress. Lucy was a Methodist by faith.
She is survived by three sons, James W. Bauer and wife, Connie, of Mineral
Wells, Timothy L. Bauer and wife, Francine, of Parkersburg and Eddie Bauer and
wife, Carol, of Aberdeen, N.C.; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vallie
Junior Bauer, in 1967; two sisters; two brothers; a step-brother; and a
step-daughter.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home, 2226
Jackson Ave., Point Pleasant, with Pastor James W. Lawson officiating. Burial
will follow in Kirkland Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
Sunday at the funeral home.
