Mrs. Helen C. "Lindy" Adams, 97, Altoona, died peacefully at her home Thursday evening.
Mrs. Adams was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Joseph P. and Catherine O. (Maurer) Greiner. She was twice married, first to Robert L. Lytle, who preceded her in death; and Cyril J. Adams on March 18, 1949, in Winchester, Va. He died March 26, 2006.
She is survived by three children: Donna M. (husband, Robert) Civils, Ronan T. "Ron" Adams and Steven P. "Steve" Adams, all of Altoona; and a sister, Virginia M. Pheasant in California. Lindy is also survived by nine grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth R. Lytle, five sisters and three brothers.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Altoona.
Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at Jones Funeral Home, where a vigil for the deceased will be held during the visitation. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Altoona, with Monsignor Stanley B. Carson officiating. Committal Rites will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
