June Ann Abbott, 77, died March 26, 2007 at Bethany Home, Alexandria, MN.
June was born April 4, 1929 in Mahnomen County, MN to William and Julia (Saice) Newton. She attended school in Mahnomen through the 8th grade.
June was a homemaker who enjoyed needlework, collecting coins, fishing, playing cards, especially cribbage, and being outdoors. She also enjoyed traveling to Fargo to visit with relatives.
June had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren, especially Sara Abbott, and a special friend, Donald Bock, who was the love of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Julia Newton; son, Robert Abbott; brothers: Frank, Paul, Leonard, Ernie, Charles William and Vernon, and sister Edith.
June is survived by her grandchildren, Beth (friend Keith Hanson) Rogers, Brian (Kristin) Abbott, and Sara Abbott; great grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Evan Rogers, Grace and Gabrielle Abbott; and daughter-in-law Pat Abbott.
A memorial service was held March 30 at Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Jeff Pankratz officiating. Interment will be held later at Nelson Cemetery in Nelson, MN.
Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria, MN.
