Lizzie Smith Wise, age 91, born and raised in Sherwood, TN passed away Monday, Sept. 17, 2012. Longtime resident of Estill Springs, TN. She was the daughter of Willie Madison Smith and Peggie Jane (Lynch) Smith both of Sherwood, whom procee
ded her in death. She was the last of their 7 children to leave this Earth. She is proceeded in death by her beloved husband J.D. Wise, who was also from Sherwood. She has now been reunited with her 6 siblings: Margaret Smith Sutton, George Smith, Audy Smith Shetters, J.B. "Buck" Smith, Viola Smith Maxwell Hill, and Willie Smith, Jr. Lizzie is survived by her two sons, Fred (Peggy) Wise of Tullahoma, TN and James (Gerry) Wise of Dyer, IN, 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Lizzie was a member of the First Baptist Church Estill Springs. They are having the wake for Ms. Lizzie Smith Wise at Moore - Cortner's funeral home in Winchester, TN. on Thursday 9-20-2012 visitation with her family will be 2 pm - 8 pm and the service will be at 11:00 am on Friday 9-21-2012 at the funeral home.
