Ruby D. Rounds, 73, of Suffern, N.Y., died February 2, 1987, in Suffern.
Mrs. Rounds was born in Locke, N.Y., the daughter of Glenn and Mary Spafford Hoagland. She graduated in 1934 from Cortland State Teachers' College and taught school briefly in the area before moving to Suffern.
She is survived by her husband, Lester E. Rounds, formerly of New Hope, now of Suffern; one daughter, Julie Moore of Ho-Ho-Kus, N.J.; one son, David E. Rounds of Warrick, N.Y.; her twin sister, Ruth Fisher of Skaneateles; one brother, Gerald Hoagland of Tully, N.Y.; five grandchildren.
Funeral services are being held in Suffern on Wednesday and a committal service will be held at the United Methodist Church in New Hope on Saturday at 1 p.m. There are no calling hours. The family requests donations be made to the Suffern Rotary Scholarship, P.O Box 268, Suffern, N.Y. 10901.
