Arthur T. Alberts, 83, of Rockford, husband of a Bloomington native, died Thursday (Jan. 7, 1999) at St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Rockford, the Rev. John Hanrahan officiating. There will be a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Cemetery, Bloomington. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral Tuesday at the church. Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington, is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church, Rockford, or St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Bloomington.
Mr. Alberts was born Sept. 6, 1915, at Chicago, a son of Joseph and Constance Gorski Alberts. He married Marie G. Falgier, formerly of Bloomington, Nov. 9, 1940, at Chicago. She survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Judith Ann (Daniel) Finley, Greenville, S.C.; one sister, Sylvia J. Micek, Niles; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
Mr. Alberts was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Rockford, and was a policeman for the city of Chicago for 35 years before retiring in 1973.
