Rodney Matthew Wheeler, age 46, a resident of Cleveland passed away Thursday in a local hospital. Mr. Wheeler was the son of the late Goldie Vernon Wheeler. His brother: Jeffrey Wheeler and Father-in-law: Larry Stafford also preceded him in death. Mr. Wheeler worked for Gilbert Fence Co. for eight years. He loved fishing and going to Georgetown Church of God.
Survivors include his wife: Sandra Wheeler of Cleveland; one son: Ronald Wheeler and his wife Brittany of Cleveland; his mother: Doris Cross of Cleveland; four sisters: Carolyn Hipps and Kristie Wheeler both of Cleveland, Brenda Rodriquez and Vicky Lee and her husband Robert all of Alabama; two brothers: Daniel Wheeler and Jeff Shepherd and his wife Elizabeth all of Cleveland; Mother-in-law: Betty Stafford of Delano; step mother: Edna Wheeler of Cleveland; one step sister: Rhonda Beckler; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
The Remembrance of Life Service will conducted Monday, October 8, 2012 at 11:00 AM from the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Reverend James Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in the Samples Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 9 P. M. Sunday at the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes who has charge of the arrangements.
