Patty Ann Newstead, 48, passed away Friday (October 5, 2012) at the Fletcher Allen Medical Center, Burlington, Vermont. Funeral arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home, Moira.

Patty was born May 7, 1964, in Southbridge, Massachusetts the daughter of Edward & Janice (Lamica) Rouselle. She was a graduate of the Franklin Academy, and North Country Community College where she obtained an Associate's Degree majoring in Business. Patty was employed as a cashier with the Wal-Mart Store, Malone. Patty united into marriage with Kenneth Newstead on June 30, 1984 at St. Michaels Church, in New Jersey. The couple spent sometime in the Jersey area, returned back to the North Country to make North Bangor their home. Patty enjoyed gardening, playing bingo, doing some crafts, and puzzles. However, she was always up for the challenge in playing a good game of poker, or Michigan rummy.

Patty is beloved by her mother, Janice; her husband Kenneth; her children, Corey and his companion, Patience LaRocque of Malone, Heather and her companion, Robert Desotell of Plattsburgh, and Adam Newstead; a mother-in-law, Helen Newstead of Ledgewood, New Jersey; a grandson, James; and her siblings, James (Brenda) Rouselle, Timothy (Priscilla) Rouselle, Thomas (Sherry) Rouselle, Tammy Rouselle, Penny (Harvey) Landry and Tiffany King all of Malone. Patty was anxiously awaiting to share in the birth of her grandson Bryce Allen.

Patty will be fondly missed by her extended family through marriage, Patricia (Tish) Graham of Providence Rhode Island, Mary Nelson of Monticello, Laura (Percy) Mistry of Newton, New Jersey, Michelle (Joseph) Vaia of Hackettstown, New Jersey, and Steven (Aline) of Florida, presently serving our country in Afghanistan.

Family and friends are invited to all at the Flint Funeral Home, Moira, Wednesday (Oct 10, 2012) from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial celebrating the life of Patty will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. John Bosco Church, 57 Rennie Street, Malone. Burial will commence in St. John Bosco Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest.
