Harold was the son of Pearl and Katie Spoelman Bohl. He was born on July 30,1919. He married Ruth Timmer October 8,1941. Ruth was born September 24,1921. Their children are as listed:

Vernon Dale Bohl
Wayne Alan Bohl
Arlyn Jay Bohl
Randall Lee Bohl

Handing the farm down through generations. In 1948 Harold bought his Grandparents John and Maggie Bohl's farm, This is also Harold's childhood home, as well as his father's, Pearl Bohl. Both were reared here and attended the same country school that all the other Bohls attended. They have always been active members of Beaverdam Reformed Church. Harold spent almost four years in the army air force during World War II and was stationed in the Philippines. The family farm is a 100+ year old centennial farm.

Harold Bohl, age 93, of Hudsonville, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, after living at Hospice House in Holland. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather to the extended Bohl family. He is survived by Ruth, his wife of 71 years; children, Thelma (Merle) Smallegan of Marion, Vern (Wanda) Bohl of Zeeland, Wayne (Judy) Bohl of Hudsonville, Arlyn (Deb) Bohl of Zeeland, and Randy (Kathy) Bohl of Zeeland; 14 grandchildren; 25 greatgrandchildren; sister, Barbara Stegenga; and brother-in-law, Gerard (Donna) Timmer. He was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Cretia Victoria Bohl. He worked as a farmer and bricklayer and later served customers at the Vriesland Co-op Store. Harold was a life-long member, elder and deacon of Beaverdam Reformed Church, served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, in the Pacific Theater, and was a member of the VFW Post # 2144 in Holland. He was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. Funeral services will be at Beaverdam Reformed Church on Saturday, October 13, at 11 a.m. with Mike Tubergen officiating. Interment Beaverdam Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at Beaverdam Reformed Church on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Beaverdam Reformed Church or Words of Hope.
