Mr. Carlos Jack Pogue, age 86, of Lakeview Road, Harriman, TN passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2008 in the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was born May 27, 1922 in Polk County, TN. Mr. Pogue was retired from the Harriman Fire Department after 30 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, a member of Grace Baptist Church of Harriman & a member of Dyllis Masonic Lodge #460 & Scottish Rite. He was a devoted husband and a great friend to everyone that knew him. Jack loved his church and tried to be the first one there. Preceded in death by daughter, Brenda Teague; brother, J.R. Pogue.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 27, 2008 from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. in the Grace Baptist Church on Pine Ridge Road in Harriman. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 P.M. in the church with Pastor James Somers & nephew, Ronnie Clark officiating. Graveside service and interment will be Friday at 4:00 P.M. in the Childs Memorial Cemetery in Harriman with honors by the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard.
