Elma was a charter member of Community Bible Church of Marietta where she taught Sunday school for many years, and was a faithful supporter of Harrisburg Youth for Christ. She had a green thumb, demonstrated by her flower gardens and many indoor plants. Elma was also a talented seamstress. She was an avid reader of her Bible and many other inspirational books and writings.
She is survived by five children: Jay L. Ebersole, Middletown; Delores K. Wells (David), Olathe, KS; Nancy C. Musser (Philip), Mount Joy; Rosene S. Hunking (William), Elizabethtown; Marilyn J. Hess (Robin), Mount Joy; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was the oldest of nine siblings and is survived by the two youngest, a brother Maurice Hertzler, Milton, PA and a sister Janet Pobst, San Luis Obispo.
A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Community Bible Church of Marietta, 331 Anderson Ferry Road, Marietta, PA 17547 at 3:00 PM. Viewing will take place in the church chapel on Friday, October 12th from 6:00-8:00 PM. Interment will be private.
