BEVIER BRIEFS
BEVIER, April 29—Patrick Ruddy, aged 31 years, married, living two miles west of Bevier, committed suicide last Friday morning by taking carbolic acid. No cause is known for his act further than poor health, but at the time of the deed he was in apparently good spirits and was about his daily work, and was putting in fence that morning, and went to the house to get an axe. While there he took the bottle and went to the smoke house and drank its contents. His wife followed some time later and found him in a dazed condition. He told her that it was no fault of hers and cautioned her to take good care of herself, and in a few minutes he was dead.
