Ruth Blankenship, 73, of LaGrange, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, at home.
The McDowell, Ky., native retired from Grumman Olson in 1985.
Surviving are her daughters, Lisa Prior of LaGrange and Linda Pierson of Bronson, Mich.; sons Dallas Sr. of Sherwood, Mich., and Rodney of LaGrange; sisters Dixie Herby of Mansfield, Ohio, Zettia Brewer of Burr Oak, Mich., and Ruby Tacket of Covington, Ky.; brothers Delbert Gayheart of Shelbyville, Alvin Gayheart of Beach Grove, Daniel Gayheart of Christianburg, Ohio, and Refford Gayheart of Mongo; 14 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at United Zion Baptist Church, Valentine. Calling will be 4:30 p.m. today, all day Wednesday and before the service Thursday. Burial will be at Ontario Cemetery.
