Sister Antonella as born Angela (Engel) Hunteman on April 10, 1977 and was baptized on April 12, 1877 at St. Anna Church, in the Diocese of Innsbruck, Twistrigen, Hanover, Germany. Her sponsors were Engel Tegge born in Hohnhold at Morsen (probably her mother's sister) and John Henry Blome (a Real Estate man in Morsen). Angela's parents were Arnold Huntemann (Real Estate man in Morsen) and Maria Elizabeth Tegge. The Baptismal Certificate for Angela is dated August 17, 1887, which was the year Angela left Europe with her family. It was common for families to take such records with them.

Angela entered the Holy Family Convent on August 23, 1894 from Monterey, Nebraska and was received into the Novitiate on August 12, 1896. Sister Antonella pronounced her final vows on August 11, 1898.

Sister Antonella Huntemann died on November 7, 1962 at the Holy Family Hospital in Manitowoc, Wisconsin and is buried in the "Sisters" cemetery at the convent along with her father, Arnold Huntemann and her sister, Sister Armella (Frances) Huntemann. A note in Sister Antonella's file says "she had a very happy, joyful disposition, well-liked by Sisters. It says "she had boundless energy which was a very good thing when she was working with the restless boys at Guardian Angel Boarding School." There is a book titled "The Kids of the Guardian Angel Boarding School" that was written by one of the boarders in 2001.
