Artilissa Ann Reeves Bigelow, wife of
Mr. A. S. Bigelow, one of our venerable
pioneer citizens, after a short illness
with pneumonia, entered into rest
Saturday evening, Nov. 2nd, 1895, at
the ripe age of 73 years.

"Blessed are
the dead who die in the Lord." Mrs.
Bigelow, for over thirty years, has
been a faithful member of the Congre-
gational church in Princeton, and so
far exemplified the truth she professed
that she was loved the most by those
who knew her best. Children, and
her children's children have grown
up about her to call her blessed.
The funeral took place at the house
Monday where a brief service was
conducted by Rev. C. D. Moore. The
husband with whom she shared the
burdens of life for more than fifty
years, and those who called her
"mother," have the sincere sympathy
of all in this bereavement. A great many
followed the casket to the cemetery
and more than one could pay her
the tribute which her life had earned,
"Blessed are the peace-makers, for
they shall be called the children of
God.
