Irvin Thomas Boatright was the son of John Daniel Boatwright b. 1805 in VA and Eliza Seymore b. 1815 in VA. He married Matilda Ann Allen 15 Nov 1860 in Clinton County, Illinois and had two children: Irvin Frank Boatwright (1861-1946) and Robert Seymore Boatwright (1862-1895) before departing for the Civil War. Irvin died in Columbus, Kentucky during the War and was returned home and buried in Petrea Cemetery near his mother- and father-in-law, Greenberry Allen and Cordelia J. Kenney.
