Aubrey Lee Brooks Jr. died at Jefferson Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pa., where he was taken 10 days before his death.

He was a junior at the University of North Carolina.

He had been in an automobile accident a couple years before and it was thought this may have led to his complications. He was taken to Philadelphia to see a specialist as a last resort.
