Harry L. Bruce passed away January 9, 2010, he was 83. He was a resident of El Paso, TX. Harry was president of Triangle Electric Supply until his retirement. He said El Paso had been so good to him and his family that wanted to give back to the community. He endowed a business scholarship at UTEP in honor of his daughter, Kathleen and supported the Athletic Dept at that school. He also endowed a business scholarship at UCLA his Alma Mater. He was generous in his support of his church Trinity First Methodist and the Republican Party and its candidates. He is preceded in death by his parents Harry Levi and Mary Darnall Bruce, daughter Kathleen, and two brothers A. Dexter and Clare. Survivors are his spouse Patricia (Patty), son Stephen L. Bruce and wife Marcia, grandchildren Susan Elaine, Scott Michael and Katherine Canada (Katie). Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Trinity First United Methodist Church, 801 N. Mesa, with The Rev. John Schwarting officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be Daniel H. Smith, Charles D. Luciano, Craig Dixon and Leonard W. Starr. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley in Santa Teresa, NM. Services entrusted to Martin Funeral Home West.
