Edna Cecil, 84, of 2625 E. Victory Court, Owensboro, died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born June 1, 1921, to the late Walter Simeon and Carrie Montgomery Whittinghill in Daviess County. She was a homemaker, a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church and loved animals and being with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Emmett Osborne, in 1987; and a son, Larry Nicholas Osborne, in 1946. Survivors include her husband, Joseph T. Cecil; her sons, Ronnie Osborne and his wife, Donna, and Jerry Osborne and his wife, Faye; her daughters, Sylvia Keller and her husband, Tony, Carolyn Boehmann and her husband, Frank, and Marilyn Cozee, all of Owensboro, Vicky Tilley of Houston and Cindy Goetz and her husband, Robert, of Owensboro; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at noon Sunday at Blessed Mother Catholic Church with burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home, with prayers at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
