A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. today, Oct. 13, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Eugene for Clifford R. "Cliff" Wallace of Eugene, who died Oct. 11 of a heart attack. He was 75.

He was born Aug. 14, 1937, in Reno, Nev., to Claude and Billie Silverwood Wallace. He married Jacqueline Owens on Oct. 17, 1959, in San Jose, Calif.

He graduated from Sparks High School in Nevada. He served in the Navy. He worked as an air traffic controller for the Federal Aviation Administration.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Nora Rudolph of Los Gatos, Calif., and Katy Putnam of Coburg; a brother, Leslie Martin of Lovelock, Texas; a sister, Susan Kelsey of Hurricane, Utah; and three grandchildren.

Burial will be at Fir Grove Cemetery in Cottage Grove.

Clifford R. Wallace 1937-2012

Clifford "Cliff" R. Wallace, 75, of Eugene died Oct. 11, 2012 from a heart attack.

He was born Aug. 14, 1937 in Reno, Nevada to Claude and Billie (Silverwood) Wallace.

Cliff graduated from Sparks High School in Sparks, Nevada and served in the U.S. Navy.

On Oct. 17, 1959 in San Jose, Calif., he and Jacqueline Owens were married.

Mr. Wallace worked for the Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Controller. He was given an award in June of 1963 for guiding in a disabled jet fighter.

He enjoyed reading, woodworking and fishing, and he loved his grandchildren and spending time with them.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Nora L. Rudolph of Los Gatos, Calif. and Katy Putnam and husband, Brad, of Coburg, a sister, Susan Kelsey of Hurricane, Utah, a brother, Leslie Martin of Lovelock, Nevada, and three grandchildren.

A memorial was held Saturday, Oct. 13, at 11 a.m. at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Eugene. Burial was at Fir Grove Cemetery in Cottage Grove.
