Ralph H. Rutledge, 59, 3701 S. Ebright, was dead on arrival at Ball Hospital this morning. Mr. Rutledge had been in failing health the past seven years. He was an employee of Lift-A-Loft Corp., and previously had been employed at Muncie Gear. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife, Bertha; his mother, Mrs. Ida Rutledge; a brother, Herman Rutledge, Bullhead City, Ariz.; three half-brothers and three half-sisters.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Emil A. Schweier officiating. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Callers will be received at the Parson Mortuary from 3 to 5 and from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. The Rosary will be recited at the mortuary at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
