Isabell Ruth Allison, 85, of 312 South Vine Street, in Carmichaels, died Friday, August 13, 1982 at Monongalia General Hospital after a brief illness. She was born July 20, 1897 at Khedive, the daughter of the late Joel and Cora Rush Milliken. Her husband, Playford W. Allison, preceded her in death in 1953. She spent all her life in the Carmichaels area and was a retired South Penn telephone operator. She was a member of the Greene Valley Reformed Presbyterian Church in Carmichaels, where she was a member of the Women's Association. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Edna E. McCann f Alexandria, Virginia; one son, Carl (Jum) Allison of Carmichaels; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, William Stanley; two infant children; two brothers, Anson and West; and three sisters, Hazel Cree, Edna Rush and Della Neel.
