He was a 1970 graduate of Alton High School and attended Plymouth State College.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving from 1974 to 1978.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Mary (Kutlowski) Haskin of Dover; his mother, Janice Sanborn of San Diego, Calif.; three daughters, Jessica Case and her husband, James, of Porter, Maine, Melissa Haskin of Revere, Mass., and Mary Haskin of Ossipee; three grandchildren, whom he adored, Rosonna, Toby and Alaina Case; one sister, Nancy Bennett and her husband, Tom, of West Bloomfield, Mi.; four brothers, Otis Sanborn of San Diego, Calif., Michael Haskin and his fiancée, Patty Mathews, of Marlborough, Mass., Howard Sanborn and his wife, Carol, of Alton and Steven Sanborn and his wife, Toni, of Sanbornville; many nieces and nephews; and special friends including Michael J. Blackie.
John joins in heaven his younger brother Billy Haskin and his father, Howard Sanborn.
Through his life John shared and lived the word of Christ inspiring many people with his wisdom, passion and dedication. He has run his final race, crossed the finish line and is now in God's hands.
