Roger Dean Nicholes, age 59 years, of Ely passed away Feb. 11, 2007. Mr. Nicoles was born July 9, 1947, in Draggerton, Utah, to Stanley H. and Lucy (Mathews) Nicholes.
He worked as a millwright for Barrick Mine. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Vicki Nicholes of Ely; two sons: Stacey (Julie) Nicholes of Tooele, Utah, and Cody Nicholes of Reno; four grandsons: Jackson, Tyson, Kaden and Bryant Nicholes; three brothers: Roland (Irene) Nicholes of Cedar City, Utah, Chad (Andrea) Nicholes of Ely and Barry (Julia Ann) Nicholes of McGill; two sisters: Lueine (James) Allred of Ely and Judy (Herb) Fischer of West Valley City, Utah; brother-in-law John (Melissa) Strouse of Ely; three sisters-in-law: Judy (Jim) Sargent of Casper, Wyo, Joann Nicholes of Salt Lake City and Sharron Nicholes of Ely.
Mr. Nicholes was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Gordon and Reed Nicholes.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 15, at 10 a.m. at Mountain Vista Chapel. Funeral services are to follow at noon.
Burial will be in the Ely City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Doug Fischer, Brent Nicholes, Jimmy Allred, Jeff Nicholes, Brad Nicholes, Keith Nicholes and Stanley Nicholes. Honorary Pallbearers will be Craig Fisher, Kevin Nicholes, Kirk Nicholes, Matt Nicholes and Clayton Nicholes.
