Esther M. Cripe, 94, of Oakley died 7 a.m. Sunday (Sept. 23, 2001) in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes with visitation one hour before services. Burial will be in Grace- land Cemetery. Memorials: donor's choice. Mrs. Cripe was born July 30, 1907, in Decatur, the daughter of Lynn and Hester Veech Wheeler. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She spent her entire life giving of herself to family and friends and supported many charities, he was also a sports enthusiast. She married Walter J. Cripe Nov. 5, 1927, in Decatur. He preceded her in death. Surviving are her daughter, Shirley A. Bell of Oakley; grandchildren, Debbie Tietz, John Bell and wife Charlotte, Steve Bell and wife Beverly, Pam Frazier and husband Greg and Kathy Eads and husband Glen; nieces, Luan Loudenback, and Sandra Zeeb; nephew, Buddy Cripe.
