Mr. Leolia Applin, 73, died at his residence in Carol City on Thursday, January 20, 2005.
He was born to the late Annie Mae and Willie Applin. He was married to Chloe Applin in may 1955. He retired from the city of North Miami.
He leaves to cherish his memories one daughter, Sheila (Rakesha) John, Haywood, Calif.; sons, Herbert Applin, North Carolina, Zachary (Junnie) Applin, Hampton, Va., Eric (Angela) Applin, Fort Lauderdale; stepchildren, Rodney and Sherits; sister, Shirley Garrison, Palatka; brothers, Minos (June), Miami, Artis (Lyce), Palatka, Billy (Vicki), Seattle, Wash.; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. A veteran of Korea.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Jan. 25 at Calvary Baptist Church, Rev. Fredrick Demps, pastor. Interment at Resthaven Cemetery in San Mateo.
