Gainesville - Betty Sue Parkhill, 70, of Gainesville, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001, at her home.
She was born Aug. 14, 1930, in Gainesville. She worked as a house parent at Denton State School for over 14 and a half years.
Mrs. Parkhill was a member of Oak Ridge First Baptist Church in Oak Ridge.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Clement-Keel Funeral Home. Travis Alford will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight, Thursday, Feb. 8, for visitation.
Survivors include one son, Roger Parkhill of Gainesville; two daughters, Bonnie Liddell of Marietta, Okla., and Stormy Melton of Gainesville; one sister, Frances Cason of Burns City; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Her husband, Eugene E. Parkhill, died Oct. 8, 1986.
