MRS. CHARLES H. PALMER.
Edith Matson Aiken, wife of Charles H. Palmer, who died in Milwaukee, Wis., Sunday last, aged twenty-five, was a native of Norwich, and was the youngest daughter of William A. and Eliza C. B. Aiken. She was married in Norwich June 24, 1897, to Charles H. Palmer by Rev. Benjamin W. Bacon and soon after went to preside over a happy home in Milwaukee. Mrs. Palmer was a member of the class of '91 at the Free Academy, and was a great favorite, her gentle manners and cheerful disposition making her the leading spirit in a large social circle. Besides her husband and a daughter three weeks old, Mrs. Palmer is sur- vived by her parents and two brothers, William B. Aiken of Norwich, and Alfred of Boston, and three sisters, Mrs. Benjamin W. Bacon of New Haven, Miss Mary and Miss Jennie Aiken of Norwich. Funeral services were held at the residence of her parents, General and Mrs. W. A. Aiken, in Norwich, Wednesday.
