Mrs. J. E. Lewis Passes Away Here
Mrs. J. E. Lewis passed away at her home on Goggin street yesterday at 12 o'clock noon after a lingering illness. Funeral services will be at Albert Skinner Home for Funerals tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Arthur H. Fuhr. Interment will be made in Woodlawn cemetery.
Bertha Ellen Lewis, daughter of Ezra and Sarah Truitt, was born in Macon County and spent her entire life in this community.
Those to mourn her passing are her husband, J. E. Lewis; one daughter, Mrs. Raymond Terrill ofKansa s City, one son, Ray Enochs of Kansas City; her aged mother, Mrs. Sarah Truitt of Macon; two sisters, Mrs. Goldie Ahlbom and Mrs. Mary Ahlbom of Macon; two brothers Ed Truitt of Bevier and Otis Truitt of Macon; six grandchildren and one uncle, Eph. Nelson of Macon.
The body will lie in state at the home on Goggin street until the hour of the funeral tomorrow.
