Effie was the daughter of Joshua Nubo ELLER was born on 17 JAN 1837 in Indiana. Died on 8 JUN 1910 in Fedora, Miner Co., SO. Buried in Prairie Flower, Miner Twp, Miner Co.. SO. A Farmer, He married Susan Maria ANDRESS on 4 DEC 1861. Susan Maria ANDRESS was born on 7 AUG 1842 in Danbury, Connecticut. Died on 2 SEP 1916 in Fedora, Miner Co., SO. Buried in Prairie Flower, Carthage, Miner Co., SO. (J. N. Eller Family History)

Effie and Charlie (red haired) were first cousins and their parents did not want them to get married. One time when going to some doings, Effie put on several layers of clothes. Her father sent someone along to be sure Charles and Effie did not sit together. After the doings Charles borrowed a colt and they snuck off to Minnesota. It was cold weather and the colt was run so hard that it died. They were married in Minnesota. (Shared by cousin Sophronia Crane Eygabroad Crane Cookbook)
