JOHN HENRY ERWIN - Seventy-nine years old, suffered a fatal heart attack yesterday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Dennis Hodges of Hurricane Creek, with whom he resided. He was a retired Chesapeake & Ohio Railway employee. Mr. Erwin was born July 3, 1875, in Mason County, son of the late James and Elizabeth Erwin. He spent most of his life in the Hurricane area. He was a charter member of the Adda Baptist Church, Funeral services are to be held at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow at the Adda Baptist Church with the Rev. Wilmer Garrtt officiating. Burial is to be in the Lower Hodges Cemetery near the Hodges home under direction of the Allen Mortuary of Hurricane. Besides the daughter Mrs. Hodges, Mr. Erwin is survived by a son Cecil Erwin of Hurricane Creek, and three brothers, Charles Erwin of Dayton, O., Bert Erwin of Bucyrus, O., and Norman Erwin of Union City Oh.
